We recognise that many endocrine cases are complex to manage, especially as affected animals often have other concurrent diseases. We have an excellent reputation for treating hyperthyroid cats via our dedicated Radio-iodine service and are one of only two centres in the UK able to treat cats with thyroid carcinoma with high-dose radioactive iodine. Our team are also experienced in the diagnosis and medical or surgical management of both pituitary and adrenal dependent hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing’s disease). Our ability to offer a multi-disciplinary approach means we are one of only a few centres offering hypophysectomy for pituitary-dependent cases with excellent post-operative monitoring and care. We are also always happy to see or discuss the care and management of patients with diabetes mellitus, often linked with our ophthalmology service. But we can also help with the more unusual endocrine disorders if needed.
