We recommend that all horses are vaccinated for equine influenza and tetanus, plus have their teeth examined on an annual basis. This may all be combined into a single annual visit for adult, healthy horses.
First equine influenza vaccinations are recommended from 6 month old foals onwards. The primary course for equine influenza vaccines require three initial injections, before progressing to annual boosters (or 6 monthly for some competing horses) as required by your specific situation.
We also strongly recommend that all horses are vaccinated against tetanus.
Tetanus only requires two initial injections, before progressing to biannual (every other year) boosters.
