Langford Vets Small Animal Referral Hospital Introduce Telemedicine Service

Langford Vets are working hard to maintain excellent clinical care for animals, whilst restricting movement of individuals and interactions to an absolute minimum. As per recent government and RCVS guidance we are doing all that we can to develop new systems to support our referring vets and their patients while also ensuring that we are acting in the best interest of human health, for our staff and the wider community.

As part of the evolution taking place in our ways of working we have introduced Telemedicine consultations as a starting point for all referrals. This service is available to referring vets as an enhanced advice service, as well as to owners as an entry point to our hospital

In some cases this consultation will be sufficient for our clinician to make treatment recommendations to referring vet and owner. In these cases the consultation will generate a full report. We are happy to conduct telephone and video consultations (in some cases and for some of our services videos will be encouraged). Our clinician may decide that further investigations are vital, in these circumstances you will be invited to drop your pet off at Langford Vets, for the agreed investigations.

The cost of the telemedicine consult will be deducted from our normal consult fee if the animal subsequently attends Langford Vets Small Animal Referral Hospital for the same condition, even if this is after the current government restrictions are lifted.

Referring vets can book a telemedicine appointment by contacting our reception team on 0117 3940513
