Langford Vets is a multidisciplinary provider of veterinary services in the South West of the UK. It aims to provide a world class teaching environment for both undergraduate and post-graduate students within the farm animal, equine and small animal services as well as the diagnostic laboratories. The facilities and compliance administration assistant will provide operational assistance and coordination to facilitate the smooth day-today running of the business and support our business units in operational delivery and compliance. The role may evolve to meet future needs, offering valuable experience and development opportunities.
This role is suited to someone who is proactive and keen to contribute to a busy team. The successful candidate will be a positive team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Hours: Part-time, 22.5–26 hours per week. Ideally, this is worked as 4.5 hours per day across five days, though there is flexibility. Specific working days and times can be discussed.

Principal Accountabilities
- Day to day administration, coordination & reactive work as required.
- Respond to queries, resolve simple operational matters and make decision on when to refer more complex or specialist situations
- Assist with compliance monitoring, records and reporting
- Plan, organise and prioritise own work activities to deliver to potentially competing deadlines
- Adhere to health and safety requirements and policies as required by the business, and support health and safety across the business including promoting a positive health and safety culture and supporting health & safety reporting
- Develop a network of contacts within Langford vets, the wider university and suppliers and maintain a good working relationships
- Maintain and update documentation
- Help coordinate facilities, equipment, hardware, and maintenance, liaising with contractors, suppliers, UoB and Langford Vets team members
- Contribute to process improvements and support project work as needed
- Administer, organise and contribute to meetings
- Manage calendars, room bookings and schedule appointments
