Langford Vets Celebrates Springer Spaniel’s Extraordinary Rehabilitation Breakthrough

Langford Vets is pleased to announce a recent Langford Hero’s Tea Party that celebrated the recovery of Lucky, a Springer Spaniel, rescued by the RSPCA in early 2024. At this time, she was critically unwell and unable to stand or move her front legs. Once medically stable, she embarked on an intensive rehabilitation journey in which she showed great courage to overcome her mobility issues and learnt to walk again.

This case highlights what’s possible when innovative thinking and clinical expertise come together with a deeply committed team. It was incredibly rewarding to see Lucky make progress week by week, especially considering the early weeks when there were serious concerns about her welfare and difficult conversations with her foster carer, questions such as, ‘are we delaying the inevitable?’
