Practical Day Schedule
The schedule for the Recently Qualified Nurse Scheme Practical Day has now been released. This is a provisional schedule: lecture titles and speakers are subject to change.
The day will include:
- Anaesthesia practical, covering monitoring, patient safety, and best practice
- Dermatology nursing, including common conditions and practical approaches
- Bladder ultrasound practical, developing confidence with imaging and patient handling
- Suture practical, focusing on technique, materials, and wound management
Part of Langford Academy’s Recently Qualified Nurse Scheme, this practical day is open to veterinary nurses in the early years of their career, regardless of route of qualification. It offers a supportive environment to consolidate skills, ask questions, and learn alongside peers.
The course is expected to run from 09:00–16:00 on the Langford Campus. Timings, topics, and session content are subject to change, with final details shared closer to the event.
