We’re excited to announce our Recent Graduate Practical Days, taking place on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th December 2025 at Langford Vets!
Designed specifically for recent veterinary graduates, this hands-on event will focus on building practical confidence and developing core clinical skills with guidance from our experienced clinicians.
The day will begin with a warm welcome and an introductory echocardiography session, including a short talk followed by practical scanning, led by our cardiology team. After a refreshment break, participants will continue refining their echo skills in small, supportive groups.
A lunch-and-learn session will follow, featuring a talk from Hill’s on clinical nutrition.
In the afternoon, our surgical team will lead practical sessions on Mila drains, oesophagostomy tubes, and advanced suturing techniques, offering invaluable tips for cases you're likely to encounter in practice. After a brief pause, the day will conclude with an imaging film reading session aimed at advancing radiographic interpretation skills for early-career vets.
The event will wrap up with closing comments and an opportunity to reflect on the day’s learning.
