Would you like to be part of a continuously developing specialist oncology team in a large multi-disciplinary teaching hospital?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a registered veterinary nurse to work as part of our oncology team. This role is part time, working 37 hours/week.

This specialist role will involve you working alongside our oncologists who deliver an exceptionally high standard of care based around maintaining quality of life for our patients. The successful candidate needs to be motivated, innovative, able to work independently at times and have at least 1-years’ experience as a qualified nurse.

The successful candidate will work closely with our oncology clinicians to care for patients throughout their visits including admits/discharges, sedations, staging/investigations, inhouse laboratory work and the administration of chemotherapy/immunotherapy.

We work alongside the University of Bristol and therefore the role is actively involved in teaching students on clinics as part of their rotations. The Oncology Department provides rotations for both veterinary and veterinary nurse students therefore, the candidate should have a natural drive to teach and support others.

Previous experience in a referral environment is desirable but not essential.

Flexibility will be necessary as the post will require participation in an OOH rota which will help develop and maintain core nursing skills.

We offer a competitive salary, generous pension scheme, 5 weeks holiday per year plus Bank Holidays, Bupa Benefit, CPD, employees discount up to 50%, free onsite parking, free eye test voucher, annual flu vaccinations and enhanced maternity / paternity as an employee of Langford Vets.

Salary range for this role is £20,758.22 - £26,973 for 37 hours per week dependent on experience.
