Are you a vet nurse who strives to be outstanding in their field…who would be excited to work exclusively with horses (even if you don’t already?). If so please read on…
Langford Vets Equine Referral Hospital are looking to add to our brilliant team of equine nurses and we’re hoping that you might be the person we are looking for!
The person we’re hoping to find:
Is dedicated - to their job and enjoys working with people as well as animals. Someone who wants to learn about the fantastic equipment and facilities we have here, and who will use it to it's full potential.
Is excited - to learn, to stay on the cutting edge of veterinary best practice and to be part of a team developing ground-breaking research. As a team we are striving to improve the veterinary treatment of horses worldwide, from research to teaching others, our team’s love of horses drives what we do.
Is caring - we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of care to our patients, we believe the culture of our team should be to care for one another as well. We take care to treat all of the horses we see as individuals and to develop treatment plans that are both effective and sensitive to the wellbeing of each individual.
Is flexible - in their approach to work and is happy to take on new challenges. Our caseload is varied; with medical, surgical and orthopaedic cases our nurses work across all areas and develop a broad range of experience.
As part of the University of Bristol we are proud to be leading the way in training the vets and nurses of the future, which also means that the culture of learning never stops. Our nurses work along-side our clinicians in supporting the education of degree level students. This means that if you are new to equine referral nursing there is lots of support on hand to grow your skills and confidence swiftly. Our nurses cover on average 1 in 5 weekend duties, one night per week and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.
We offer a competitive salary, dependent on experience and 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays. We have a personal CPD allowance so you can choose to attend the CPD that you would like to attend within your personal budget. We have a competitive salary sacrifice pension scheme and we also offer Bupa benefit. We have an onsite cafe and of course the standard tearoom cakes, but more than that we have a team who are driving to be different, to learn, to improve and to be the best they can be.
