Diagnostic Imaging Clinician

Langford Vets are looking for an additional radiologist to join our close-knit team, currently comprising three experienced ECVDI Diplomates, one board eligible radiologist, three ECVDI small animal track residents and three radiographers. The small animal hospital at Langford is one of the busiest in the UK, housing the largest team of European, American and RCVS specialists and specialists-in-training in the south west with all major specialties accounted for, as well as serving as the clinical teaching centre for the veterinary and veterinary nursing students of the University of Bristol. Imaging facilities include 1.5T Phillips MRI, 16-slice Siemens CT, two Siemens ultrasound machines, two computed radiography suites and two fluoroscopic units.

The hospital is located at the rural Langford Campus, which is perched on the edge of the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, but just 30 minutes from the innovative and colourful City of Bristol. It is also within easy travelling distance of the National Parks and beaches of Wales and the South West, and just 5 miles from Bristol International Airport.

Candidates must hold an ECVDI or ACVR diploma or have completed an ECVDI or ACVR accredited residency. Beyond that the job can be tailored to the individual; part time would be considered with flexible working negotiable. There is wide scope to incorporate the interests of the individual, whether that be in clinical research, teaching, involvement in our developing interventional services or any combination of these.

The appointee would be eligible for a range of company benefits, in addition to a generous pension scheme and CPD package. For pre-boarded applicants, full support in exam preparation will be offered; as a centre we have an excellent success rate in preparing our residents for ECVDI board exams.

Please submit your CV and application to hrteam@langfordvets.co.uk

Informal enquires should be directed to Alison Major, clinical lead for diagnostic imaging: alison.major@bristol.ac.uk
