Tom graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011 and initially completed a rotating internship in the USA before returning to the UK to work in general and emergency practice. He then completed a Senior Clinical Training Scholarship in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Bristol in July 2017 and has since successfully achieved the European College of Veterinary Neurology Diploma. His current role involves working as a clinical neurologist, the teaching of undergraduate students and supervision of residents.
Tom enjoys all aspects of veterinary neurology and neurosurgery. He has published on Chiari-like malformation/Syringomyelia and spinal cord injury in dogs, but currently his main area of clinical research is the application of 3D printing technology to develop implants to treat spinal conditions in dogs.
