Sheena qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1997. She spent 4 years in a busy mixed practice in Hertfordshire, before undertaking a 3-year residency in small animal medicine and intensive care at the University of Bristol.
Following this, she spent a brief spell in private referral practice before returning to Bristol University where she is a Senior Clinical Fellow in Small Animal Medicine. She obtained the RCVS and European Diplomas in Small Animal Medicine in 2004.
Her main areas of clinical interest include haematological and immune-mediated disorders, and aspects of emergency and critical care medicine.
Away from work, Sheena enjoys spending time with her young family, and trying to fit in triathlon training. Sadly both her elderly cats have now passed away, but there may be some new kittens on the horizon.....
