David graduated from the University of Sydney in 1989 with first class honours. For 10 years David worked in small animal, livestock and equine practice in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Whilst in general practice he obtained the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology (2000) and in 2008 completed the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO) Diploma examinations.
While spending most of his time dealing with ocular disease in domestic species, David has also been involved in the management of ocular disease in a wide spectrum of species including koalas, kangaroos, tigers, lions, bears, dolphins, seals and aardvarks. David’s current interests include equine corneal disease and canine gonioimplant surgery.
When not at work David has a busy schedule with interests including scuba diving, Chinese kickboxing, snowboarding, kayaking, chess, painting, photography and learning Spanish.
