Audrey graduated from the Veterinary school of Lyon, France in 1999, and obtained her Doctor (by thesis) in Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002.
After graduating, Audrey did an Internship in small animal medicine and surgery, and worked as a clinical instructor in surgery and emergency medicine at the Veterinary School of Lyon. Fascinated by microsurgery, she completed a master in microsurgery at the University of Medicine Lyon, and afterwards developed a strong interest in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Audrey completed a post-graduate Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology from the vet school of Toulouse, France, and worked in a referral practice before moving to North Carolina, USA, where she increased her experience in research.
Audrey now teaches clinical ophthalmology to vet students, and is particularly interested in developing models to facilitate teaching and practice of complex ocular examination techniques. Audrey also works in a private practice where she takes internal referral ophthalmic cases. She is interested in all aspect of ophthalmology, and particularly in medicine and surgery of the cornea.
In June 2016, Audrey was awarded RCVS Advanced Practitioner Status in Veterinary Opthalmology.
Audrey loves the daily challenges of family life along with her husband and their four children. Unfortunately she recently lost the seventh member of the family, their 17 and a half year old dog; Audrey’s companion since the first year of vet school!
