Night Nurse

We are looking for a full-time Night Nurse to join our team. The role involves working alongside a dedicated team to provide nursing care to our patients in our ICU, Surgery/Neurology and Canine/ Feline Medicine Wards.

As this is an OOH role, the ideal candidate must be able to work well under their own initiative as well as in a team.  Excellent time keeping skills and the ability to work well under pressure are also a must as the caseload is extremely variable. No two nights are the same!  For the right candidate, this is an exciting opportunity to fully utilise and develop your nursing skills and gain extensive knowledge of specialist nursing in-patient care. 

The rota comprises of 12 hour shifts on a 7 on/ 7off or 5 on/ 5 off rolling week, including weekends and bank holidays.

Dermatology Nurse (Part time 22.5 hours per week) Fixed Term Contract Until December

We are seeking an experienced RVN to join our Dermatology team. The post-holder will work alongside our Dermatology Clinicians.They will assist with consultations and procedures for sample collection and with procedures under sedation/general anaesthesia, such as biopsies.  They will take responsibility for ordering of vaccines and dispensing of medication, under direction of the clinician in charge. Their role will involve the supervision and clinical teaching of our veterinary and veterinary nursing undergraduates.

RVN - Small Animal Practice

We have a vacancy for a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to work within our Small Animal First Opinion Practice.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our small and friendly team.  This post would be most suited to a newly qualified RVN who is keen to improve his/her standard of patient care and be involved with teaching of veterinary and nursing students.   The successful candidate will be required to have a positive work ethic, be flexible and a team player.

Surgery Nurse

We are looking to expand the teams in both the Surgery/Neurology Ward and Theatre teams.  Therefore, there is the opportunity to work solely as a Ward Nurse or a Theatre Nurse.  Alternatively, if you prefer the variety that a rotational role can be bring, you can work on monthly rotation between the two areas.   

As a Theatre Nurse, you will prepare patients for surgery and work as a circulating nurse and scrub nurse for all of the surgical disciplines, as well as working in the Anaesthesia and Induction area.     

As a Ward Nurse you will have hands on in-patient nursing care in our newly refurbished surgical wards, including a dedicated Neurology ward.

The ideal candidates will be self-motivated, able to work well within a team and under their own initiative.    

Rota will include shift work and weekend OOH provision. 

Full-time and part-time working can be accommodated.

Equine Nurse

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our equine nursing team!

Are you an enthusiastic, hard-working and motivated individual? We are seeking a qualified REVN or RVN with equine experience to join our team of four lovely nurses. We are a busy Equine referral hospital located in the south west, dealing with a high surgical, medical and orthopaedic case load, working alongside the University of Bristol teaching and supporting degree students on clinical rotations.

You will be required to work on an out of hours rota covering 1 in 5 weekend duties and one night per week. CPD is funded and encouraged, holiday is 25 days per annum and a competitive salary offered depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in all different areas of equine nursing including lameness and radiology, surgical theatre, CT, nuclear scintigraphy, MRI and in-patient care. You must be able to work well in a team alongside other nurses, vets, yard staff and students.
