Equine Dental Services Announcement

Equine Dental Services Announcement
20 March 2020
Back to news

Sam is continuing to offer a normal service here at the Equine Referral Hospital. All extractions, periodontal treatments, sinusitis investigations etc. are going ahead as normal. We are however, temporarily stopping our ambulatory referral services in South Wales and Exeter. These cases can be seen here at the referral hospital if owners wish.

Routine mobile dental appointments in the Somerset area:

These are going ahead as normal although we would like to point out the following:

  1. If you have Coronavirus symptoms or are self isolating then please rearrange for another date
  2. Sam, like all our vets, is trying to follow the social distancing rules so please don’t be offended when he keeps the recommended 2m distance from you.
  3. We would ask that once you have placed a head collar on your horse that you leave him to it to perform the dental unless advised otherwise.
  4. All our vets are fairly self sufficient and can clear up after themselves. A dental chart will always be emailed if you would prefer to minimise social contact even further.

Thank you for your understanding during these times- if you any questions about your horse’s oral health or about your upcoming appointment then please do not hesitate to contact us at the hospital.
