Rocky visited Langford Vets Equine Referral Hospital in January 2019. He was proving a promising youngster in the show ring but his owners were concerned as he had developed signs of headshaking and was starting to appear distressed by it.

Equine medicine clinician Sarah Smith investigated Rocky's headshaking thoroughly following a rigorous protocol set up at Langford by headshaking expert Veronica Roberts. Rocky was diagnosed with trigeminal-mediated headshaking and began EquiPENS treatment.

After a course of three treatments Rocky and his owner Sally had a tremendous season through the Summer months in showing and dressage. Rocky's headshaking signs started to return at the beginning of the autumn so we have just seen him for a top-up EquiPENS treatment with subsequent improvement in his headshaking signs again. It's great to hear that he's now back on winning form!
