Sam qualified from the University of Bristol in 2008. After working in mixed practice, he completed an Internship in Equine Medicine & Surgery at the University of Liverpool. He then worked for the University’s Equine Department as a clinician in the ambulatory section for three years.
In 2013 he moved to Somerset to join a large private practice, before moving to Langford Vets in May 2017.
Sam’s areas of professional interest are in sports horse lameness diagnosis and advanced equine dentistry. For the last three years he has provided a dental referral service in Somerset including minimally invasive tooth extraction and restorative dental techniques.
His spare time is spent with his family and his two young sons have made sure there is little time for any other hobbies or sleep.
