In association with our colleagues in radiology, clinical pathology and soft-tissue surgery, we can also undertake the following procedures:
- On-site clinical pathology service allows for rapid reporting of cytology findings (e.g. BAL results are generally available within 1-4 hours).
- Digital radiography with interpretation from our team of highly qualified and experienced radiologists.
- Fluoroscopy - essential for assessment of oesophageal function and for interventional cardiology procedures such as pacemaker implantation.
- Ultrasound for further investigation and minimally-invasive biopsy of intra-thoracic masses.
- Thoracoscopic biopsies of intra-thoracic structures such as lung or pleura.
- Thoracoscopic pericardectomy for treatment of recurrent pericardial effusions.
- Thoracotomy for e.g. lung lobe resection.
- Surgical treatment of sino-nasal aspergillus infections with instillation of clotrimazole into the frontal sinuses.
