New Joint Replacement Assessment Consultation Offer Starting March 2012

Langford Veterinary Services Small Animal Orthopaedic Referral Service provides a comprehensive diagnostic and surgical referral service for over 300 practices in the locality. Consultations are carried out from Monday to Thursday. Emergencies and urgent referrals are accepted, on request, at any time.

The orthopaedic service treats small animals suffering from a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders and it is fully equipped with state of the art equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure the highest standard of diagnosis, surgical treatment and aftercare for animals in our care.

Veterinary Surgeons wishing to make a referral appointment should phone or fax the Small Animal Hospital reception. Veterinary surgeons seeking advice on clinical cases or seeking a radiographic interpretation can contact the orthopaedic service clinicians directly by telephone or by email:

If you are a pet owner and your animal is referred by your veterinary surgeon you will be contacted by our receptionists with the details of your appointment. During the consultation, your pet will receive a thorough clinical examination by one of the orthopaedic team, and the diagnostic and treatment options available to treat your pet will discussed and explained with you. Pets undergoing diagnostic investigations and treatments will be admitted as inpatients for these procedures. The likely length of stay in the hospital together with an estimate of the cost of treatment will be given at the time of consultation.
