Susan graduated from Bristol Veterinary School in 1998 and spent 18 years as a small animal vet in practices in South-East England and Australia. In 2003, she was awarded a Masters degree in Bilingual Translation and spent several years working as a freelance translator in the medical, veterinary and pharmaceutical sectors, while still working part-time as a vet. Susan resumed full-time veterinary work while living in Sydney, and returned to Bristol in 2016 to undertake a residency in clinical pathology.
Georgie has worked as a horse groom since leaving school. She has a particular interest in event horses, and has worked for several international event riders as head girl, as well as groomed at some exciting events including Badminton, Blenheim and the European Championships.
Joana graduated in 2014 from the University of Oporto in Portugal. After several externships in Spain, Italy, France and Brazil, Joana undertook a one year internship at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in Portugal, before continuing as an Assistant Professor in 2016. She joined Langford Vets as a Junior Clinical Assistant in Equine Medicine and Surgery in 2017.
Her main interests include internal medicine, diagnostic imaging and surgery.
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, tennis, paddel and music festivals.
Katya graduated from The Royal Veterinary College and subsequently spent a year volunteering for an equine charity (SPANA) in Morocco, caring for working equids in challenging conditions. She subsequently returned to the Royal Veterinary College Equine Referral Hospital where she completed an internship and sparked her interests and passion for equine internal medicine, especially cardiology.
Emi graduated from the School of Veterinary Sciences, University of Bristol in 2003. After graduation she completed an internship in small animal clinical studies at the University of Glasgow. She then spent three years in busy small animal practices in Ipswich then Bristol.
In 2007 she returned to the University of Bristol and hasn't left!
Charlotte graduated from the University of Bristol in 2013 and following graduation worked in a mixed first opinion practice in Lincolnshire for 18 months.
Charlotte’s interests include all aspects of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. She completed a rotating internship at a busy private referral hospital in 2016 and returned to Langford Vets to complete a university hospital rotating internship in 2017. She enjoyed working at Langford so much that she has stayed on to work alongside the surgery team as an Orthopaedic Assistant.
Holly graduated with a first class honours degree in Veterinary Nursing and Bioveterinary Science from the University of Bristol in 2017. During her degree Holly developed an interest in anaesthesia and theatre nursing and hopes to gain more experience in these roles during the nursing graduate programme. During her training, Holly worked at a first opinion practice in Chepstow, South Wales.
In her spare time, Holly also enjoys sewing and travelling
Originally from Staffordshire, Paige moved to Bristol to begin her nursing training at the University of Bristol. After graduating with first class honours, she joined the team at Langford Vets in August 2017.
Throughout her training she completed placements at Tern Vets in Market Drayton (Staffordshire), YourVets in Rayleigh (Essex), and most recently at Viking Vets (Henbury, Bristol).
In her free time she enjoys painting, drawing and reading.
Juliet graduated in 2017 with first class honours from the University of Bristol, having read Veterinary Nursing and Bioveterinary Science for four years. She loves nursing and hopes to gain additional qualifications during her career.
Her particular interests are in feline nursing and theatre nursing, which she hopes to gain more experience in during her year at Langford Vets on the rotational nursing programme.
In her spare time she enjoys sewing, reading and watching films.
