Rachel Hancock

Rachel was born, raised & educated in Somerset. Originally brought up on a small holding in West Hunstspill, she now resides with her husband & son in Tarnock.

Rachel enjoys watching MotoGP, British Super Bikes, travelling and most of all spending time with her family.

Emma Opperman RVN

Emma qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1995, working in general practice until 1999 when she joined Davies Veterinary Specialists. 
 
In January 2000 Emma starting working as the Hills Nurse in Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care at University of Bristol, where she stayed until November 2002. Her primary role was within the ICU, which included teaching duties. Emma has lectured in the UK and abroad and has contributed to publications such as The Veterinary Nursing Journal of whom Emma is an Editorial board member. 
 

Shannon Saywood

Shannon completed her degree in Animal Management in June 2017, before starting work at HollyHedge Animal Sanctuary. She has previously worked in dog grooming as well as volunteering at the RSPCA.

Outside of work, she has a springer spaniel named Charlie who she loves taking to fun dog shows. She also volunteers as a dog walker. 

Stephanie Almond BSc(Hons), RVN, Dip HE (Clinical Veterinary Nursing) and RCVS Dip in Advanced Veterinary Nursing

Stephanie graduated from Hartpury College in 2013 with a degree in veterinary nursing science, before going on to complete the RCVS Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing with Myerscough College in 2017. She has a particular interest in analgesia and post-operative care and is a passionate clinical coach to students, enjoying seeing their confidence grow. 
 

Claire Buck

Claire has worked as an Administrator for a local water company for the last nine years. She has always been passionate about animals (and has been known to visit the new cat cafe that has opened in Bristol a few times already!). Outside of work, Claire has two cats and looks forward to one day owning a dog.

Milly Lawrence BVMedSci BVM BVS MRCVS

Milly graduated in July 2017 after studying Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at Nottingham University. She has a particular interest in equine reproduction, but plans to further develop her approach to lameness cases and gain a broader experience in all aspects of equine medicine during her internship here at Langford Vets Equine Centre.

Originally from West Devon on the edge of Dartmoor, she is looking forward to exploring the Mendips.
