Intermediate Ultrasound Vet Day **FULLY BOOKED**

A mix of lectures and practical sessions aimed at those wanting to build further on their ultrasound skills.

The course covers a recap of ultrasonography of the liver, spleen, kidneys and gastrointestinal tract, and more in depth teaching of ultrasonography of the adrenals, pancreas, reproductive tracts and lymph nodes.

Tina Pierson

Tina joined Langford Vets in January 2018 as a HR Advisor. Prior to this, she worked at Gordano School in Portishead for 8.5 years working in both HR & Administration before becoming an HR Advisor for the School in 2016.

Tina gained her CIPD Level 5 qualifications in 2013, enjoys supporting staff and colleagues and loves learning new ways to do things.

Outside of work, she enjoys watching her sons play football, and walking - over the years Tina has walked both Hadrian’s Wall and the Great Glen Way.

Amber Gilmour

Amber graduated with a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Chester in 2012, before travelling to Australia to complete an internship in a research laboratory focusing on Molecular Biology.

Following this, she worked for the NHS for three years within various genetic departments. She moved to Bristol in 2017 and started working for Langford Vets as a Molecular Diagnostic Unit technician. 

Outside of work, her hobbies include walking, playing badminton and looking after her pet rats.

Maria Lyraki DVM, MRCVS

Maria graduated from the University of Thessaly, Greece in 2015, before moving to the UK, where she worked in small animal general practice for a year and a half. In 2017, she undertook a rotating internship at the University of Glasgow. 

In January 2018, Maria joined the Langford Vets Small Animal Referral Hospital as an internal medicine assistant and she is studying for her European diploma in small animal internal medicine. 

Outside of work, Maria enjoys travelling and exploring new places as well as spending time with friends and family.

Amy Dixon DVM MRCVS

Amy graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2014 after first completing a degree in biomedical science and moved to the United Kingdom shortly thereafter. She spent 18 months in small animal practice on the Isle of Wight before completing a 13-month rotating internship at the University of Liverpool.

Amy joined the internal medicine team in January 2018 and will be studying towards her European Diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys outdoors pursuits and exploring the English countryside.
