Peter graduated from the University of Liverpool in July 2016, before working in mixed practice in Cornwall for 1 year. He joined us in July 2017 as a Junior Clinical Training Scholar.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with friends and trying but mostly failing to learn to surf on weekends in Cornwall.
Virginia graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2012 and then completed a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in the same university. She spent a year and a half working in small animal practices and hospitals in Barcelona and the UK before completing a Neurology and Neurosurgery internship at the Animal Health Trust in 2016. She has a particular interest in neuromuscular disorders and neurosurgery.
Virginia joined Langford Vets in July 2017 as a resident in Neurology and Neurosurgery.
Rachel completed her Foundation Degree in Animal Management in before working for Puxton Park for 18 months. Having previously worked at the RSPCA and in local small animal practice, she enjoys working with animals, and was excited to join Langford Small Animal Referral Hospital in July 2017.
Outside of work, she likes to spend time with her Springer Spaniel Charly, socialising with friends, going to the cinema and spending time with family.
Lucy graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2014, before working in small animal general practice for 12 months. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Nottingham as well as a PGCert in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in 2016. After this time, Lucy spent several months working at a variety of practices in the Derbyshire area.
In July 2017 Lucy joined the Langford Vets Small Animal Referral Hospital as a resident in internal medicine and is studying for her European diploma in small animal internal medicine.
George graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2013 and initially spent time in mixed practice in Dorset, before joining an animal charity practice based in Jaipur, India. In 2014 he returned to the Royal Veterinary College to complete a general rotating small animal internship. George then spent 2 years in a busy small animal practice based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
Darren graduated from the University of Bristol in 2009. He then spent 3 years in mixed, equine and small animal practice before returning to the University of Bristol to undertake a small animal rotating internship. This was followed by a combined position at the University working as a tutor in the Centre for Applied Anatomy and completing a PhD in the field of spinal cord injury in July 2017.
Darren joined Langford Vets in July 2017 as a European College of Veterinary Surgery (ECVS) Resident in Small Animal Surgery.
Claudia graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2013. After completing a rotating internship in Madrid and working in small animal general practice, Claudia moved to Scotland to undertake a 12-month rotating internship at the University of Glasgow.
In July 2017 Claudia joined the Langford Small Animal Referral Hospital as a resident in Feline Medicine and is studying for her European Diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
Outside of work she likes to travel, socialising with friends and painting.
Rosie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2008. After working in small animal first opinion practice she returned to the Royal Veterinary College to undertake a PhD - an epidemiological study of feline myocardial disease in which she focused on the prevalence and prognosis of feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. After her PhD, she stayed on at the RVC to complete a residency in cardiology as well as a masters degree.
With a background in administration, Sam joined us in June 2017 having working within the Lloyds Banking Group for over 20 years. Outside of work, she enjoys walking, pilates and travelling.
