Internship in Equine Medicine & Surgery

We are seeking a fourth intern to join our existing team of interns and residents. We are looking for a veterinary graduate with an enthusiasm for equine medicine and surgery. This position provides training in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, anaesthesia, dentistry and diagnostic imaging. In this internship program you will be working with our interdisciplinary team of specialists and will assist in the provision of an equine referral service including out of hours care of in-patients.

Langford Vets is a busy equine referral hospital in the South West of England with a dynamic and engaging team. The ideal candidate will be hard working and enjoy being part of a team that is dedicated to the exceptional care of our equine patients. Equine Hospital Assistants

Langford Equine Vets are the largest and busiest University of Bristol based referral hospital in the South West. Due to continued expansion we now require additional team members.

We are seeking highly motivated full-time Equine Hospital Assistants who will work as part of our existing team. This will entail working 37.5 hours per week which will include a day on the weekend. We are seeking 3 additional Equine Hospital Assistants who enjoy working as part of a dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will assist the veterinary team with trotting up, lunging, and restraining horses during examinations and procedures as well as working in the hospital yard itself helping maintain our high standards of cleanliness, patient care and biosecurity.

SAP Receptionist

Langford Vets has a full-time vacancy available for a Receptionist to work within our Small Animal First Opinion Practice.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self -motivated person to join our friendly practice team.   Previous experience of working as a receptionist is essential, preferably within a veterinary practice. The successful candidate will be required to have a positive work ethic, be flexible and a team player.

Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Junior Clinical Assistant

An exciting opportunity has opened up at Langford Vets Equine Hospital for a junior clinical assistant. This post is for one year and would be ideal for someone looking to gain experience for a residency position in the future or wanting advanced training and experience predominantly in lameness and imaging. Clinical Pathologist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pathologist to join our Diagnostic Laboratories Team.

The successful applicant will provide an excellent clinical pathology service for internal and external clients, working with the laboratories team to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Diagnostic Laboratories.

You must have at least three years' experience working as a veterinary surgeon in Clinical Pathology and be a member of the RCVS.  Preference will be given to a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathology (Clinical Pathology) or a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (Veterinary Clinical Pathology). You may be considered if you have significant experience and are eligible for one or more of these postgraduate qualifications.
