New to Langford Vets: Equine Acupuncture

New to Langford Vets: Equine Acupuncture

We are very pleased to announce that Langford Vets has added equine acupuncture to our services.

Equine Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a complementary therapy that acts to relieve pain and restore normal homeostasis through the release of endogenous opioids, increase in blood flow and alteration in pain signalling pathways. A range of conditions can be treated with acupuncture, with one of the main indications being musculoskeletal pain of the neck and back.

The Langford Vets Equine Centre will be providing this referral service on-site with the intention of expanding our offering to an ambulatory service at a later date.

Cases will be seen by Laura Fitzharris BVSc CertESM MRCVS, who is a member of the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists and is trained in acupuncture, dry needling and electroacupuncture.
