Langford Veterinary Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Bristol, is proud to announce that it has opened a new Small Animal Practice in Cardiff. The opening marks the first new veterinary practice for the company outside of its main Langford site.
The new team of local vets and nurses, led by Sylvia Annies, provides a wide range of services for pets from dogs and cats to rabbits and small furries as well as exotic pets and fish. The surgery has three consultation rooms including a room dedicated to feline patients, as well as a cat-only waiting room, an operating theatre, x-ray and ultrasound facilities.
The new practice will also offer a pet drop-off service to help those owners in full time employment take their animal to the vet without interrupting their working day. Owners can drop their pet off in the morning for consultations and minor procedures from 8.15am and collect him or her by 6.30pm on the same day.
To celebrate the opening of the new surgery, the Cardiff team and members from the Langford site offered a sneak preview with an open day, held at the new practice. The open day was well attended and guests could experience a ‘behind the scenes’ tour, face painting, balloon making, a teddy bear surgery and more.
Lynne Hill, CEO of Langford Veterinary Services, who opened the new veterinary practice said: “This is a very exciting time for us. We are looking forward to having a new Small Animal Practice in Cardiff and providing the best possible care for pets in the local community.
“The new practice builds on the success of the small and large animal practices at Langford Veterinary Services and will offer the same personal and friendly service our current clients enjoy and expect.”
