She had four wonderful years as a Ranger, and then moved on to riding "anyone's horses who would let me," having horses on share, joining the Pony Club and hunting.

Finally when she was 14 her parents very kindly bought Ellie her first horse, Julius, a wonderful 16.1hh Cleveland Bay x Irish Draught schoolmaster. "We did everything together, and he's now out on loan and is still going strong aged 22!" says Ellie. At 17 Ellie went to Cordwainers College, London, to study Saddlery and Harness Making, which she loved: "I still do it when I get the time!" she says. She has been all over the country grooming for carriage driving friends, from singles to four-in-hand. When in 2004 Ellie decided it was time for Julius to start to wind down a little, she bought Herbie, a five-year-old 17hh Dutch Warmblood x Thoroughbred.

Masters of all trades, Herbie and Ellie enjoy everything from riding club activities to point-to-point stewarding. "Now we mainly enjoy all our time together in the hunting field!" says Ellie.

Denise has worked in Senior Receptionist/Office Management role since leaving college many moons ago! She has vast customer service experience including Hotel and Office Receptionist roles and has been nominated for employee of the year several years running. Denise has a higher qualification in Communication Studies and uses this and her working life experiences to bring a warm, friendly and capable persona to Langford.

After graduating with a first class honours degree in 2003, Gemma came to the Small Animal Hospital whilst continuing her post-grad studies and never left. With fourteen years of customer service and admin under her belt she was charged with the management and maintenance of the Langford Veterinary Services website.
