Kelly graduated from Edinburgh University in 2005 and following two years in small animal practice, completed an internship at the Royal Veterinary College. She joined the University of Bristol as a Small Animal Surgery Resident in 2008 and her main interests lie in surgery of trauma patients.

Neil graduated from the University of Bristol in 2001. After a period working in first opinion small animal practice he returned to the Bristol in September 2004 to undertake a one year internship in small animal surgery followed by a four year residency in small animal orthopaedic surgery sponsored by Intervet-Schering-Plough.
Neil’s clinical interests include complex fracture repair, elbow dysplasia, TATE elbow resurfacing arthroplasty, hip replacement surgery and limb deformity correction with Ilizarov fixation. Neil has an active interest in orthopaedic research – specifically elbow dysplasia and he has published widely in this field receiving the International Mark S. Bloomberg Award for research in this area in 2008. Neil is currently taking his RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery in the summer of 2009.
Domingo Casamian Sorrosal, DVM CertSAM CertVC MRCVS
Clinician in Cardiorespiratory Medicine
Domingo graduated from the University of Zaragoza and after graduation he carried out an internship at the Animal Medical Centre in Manchester. He then worked at Ashfield House Veterinary Hospital in Nottingham and Rowe Referrals in Bristol and combined those positions with long externships at the Cardiorespiratory Centre in Kenilworth. This was followed by a residency in small animal medicine at the Langford Veterinary Services Small Animal Hospital which he completed in December 2009. Domingo obtained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2004 and the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology in 2006. He is working towards the ECVIM diploma (Internal medicine) and the RCVS diploma (Cardiology). Domingo has clinical and research interest in many areas of Cardiorespiratory medicine. Outside work, he enjoys usual things such us playing sports (tennis and basketball), reading, travelling, birdwatching or listening to music.

Peter was born in Brisbane, Australia and completed his veterinary studies at the University of Queensland. He graduated in 2002 and initially spent 2 years in mixed practice in rural Australia. He moved to the United Kingdom in 2005 and spent 18 months performing short locum positions and travelling throughout Europe. In 2007, he enrolled in the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Surgery. He then completed a small animal internship as House Officer at Davies Veterinary Specialists in Hertfordshire in 2008 and then proceeded to work as principal surgeon for a group of clinics in central London, until starting the surgical residency at Langford in July 2009. Peter enjoys all aspects of small animal surgery, but particularly wound management, fracture repair and oncological surgery.

Soft Tissue Surgeon
Ed graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1996. He worked in a mixed practice in Wendover, Buckinghamshire for one year, before undertaking training positions at the RVC, University of Liverpool, and University of Cambridge.
He became a Diplomate of the ECVS and a European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery in 2003. He remained at Cambridge until 2004, and from that time until this year worked in private referral practice.
Ed has served as a committee member for the Association of Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery (2005 – 2007); he is an external examiner at the Royal Veterinary College (2008 to date) and is an examiner for the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (2008 to date).
He is interested in all aspects of soft tissue surgery, but in particular enjoys ENT surgery, thoracic surgery, trauma cases and wound management.

Alberto graduated from the University of Extremadura in 1998. After four years working as a clinical assistant at the University of Extremadura, Alberto moved to UK to do a Internship in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Bristol in 2006. Alberto has been working as a principal surgeon in small animal practice in Kent before starting his Residency at the University of Bristol Veterinary School. Alberto plans to sit the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery examination and he is working towards the European Diploma in Small Animal Surgery. Head of Division Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine - European Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine
Ed Hall is Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Bristol Veterinary School, where he is Head of the Division of Companion Animal Studies. A Cambridge graduate, he trained in Philadelphia and Liverpool, and is a Diplomate of the ECVIM-CA. He has clinical and research interests in small animal gastroenterology. He co-edited both editions of the Manual of Canine and Feline Gastroenterology, and wrote the chapter on Diseases of the Small Intestine in Ettinger & Feldman’s Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine, the definitive internal medicine textbook. He is currently Senior Vice-President of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. At home he has a son who was born a scouser, and they both avidly support Liverpool FC. Ed also has a very friendly Irish setter, Fin, and a not-so-friendly cat, Meg.

Born in Australia, Georgie completed her veterinary studies at the University of Melbourne in 2007. After graduating she accepted a 12 month internship in Anaesthesia and Critical Care at the University of Melbourne working with both large and small animals. After spending some time in general practice she realised that her passion was for anaesthesia and critical care and embarked on a 3 year Boehringer residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia at Langford in October 2009. Georgie enjoys all aspects of anaesthesia, pain management and critical care, but is particularly interested in local anaesthetic techniques and equine anaesthesia. She has two cats and loves to eat icecream.

Natasha qualified from the University of Bristol in 2005, having also gained a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science. She worked in a busy small animal practice in Maidenhead before starting a residency in small animal medicine and critical care at Bristol University in November 2007. Natasha gained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2009 and is currently working towards the ECVIM diploma in Internal Medicine.

Angie qualified from the University of Bristol in 2000. She spent 4½ years in a small animal practice, before returning to Langford to undertake a FAB residency in feline medicine. She achieved the European Diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2008 and became a RCVS Recognised Specialist in Feline Medicine in 2010. Angie is a member of the FAB Feline Expert Panel. Angie enjoys all aspects of feline internal medicine and small animal emergency care. Angie has one cat called Fizz, who is comfortably settling into his older age with a generous middle age spread.
Rachel Korman, BVSc GPCertFelp MA CVS (SA Med) MRCVS
Senior CTS in Small Animal Medicine (FAB Scholar)
After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2000, Rachel worked in small animal practice (including feline only practices) in both Australia and the United Kingdom. In 2007 she was awarded a “Cynthia award” by the Feline Advisory Bureau for her dedication to cats. Rachel has been working as the Feline Advisory Bureau Senior Clinical Training Scholar at Langford Veterinary Services since 2008 and plans to complete the European Diploma in Companion Animals Internal Medicine. Her interests include feline cancer care, kidney and liver disease. Rachel has a moggie called Neko and a Maine Coon called Fish, and a very unique dog called Wombat. She divides any spare time between the three of them!

Peri completed her residency in dermatology at the Animal Health Trust in 2004 and has joined us as Clinical Associate in dermatology. She qualified from Munich in 1996 and has extensive experience in private practice and referral dermatology. Peri holds the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology and is currently studying for her RCVS and European Diplomas.

Emma graduated from the University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 2000 and completed a residency in veterinary anaesthesia at the University of Bristol. She became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2005 and also holds the RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia. Emma has been a Clinical Fellow at the University of Bristol since 2004 and in addition to her clinical and teaching roles completed a PhD “Advances in the Objective Evaluation of Pain and Analgesic Efficacy in Horses” in 2009. Her clinical and research interests include pain assessment and analgesia in animals, particularly horses.

Mike graduated from the University of Bristol in 2010. During his time there he developed a keen interest in emergency and critical care cases, particularly management of trauma and surgical cases. He plans to pursue a career in this field of medicine in the future. Mike also has an interest in exotic medicine and currently lives with his temperamental bearded dragon - Gaz.

Christina graduated from the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College, University of Edinburgh in 1995. After graduation she spent two years in mixed practice in Gloucester and then three years in busy mixed practice in Cornwall. After a six month break travelling around the world and supporting the British Lions rugby tour in Australia in 2001, she moved to small animal practice in Bristol. After several years in practice, she worked as a locum in the local area for four years. Christina obtained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2007. She is currently a resident in small animal medicine at the Langford Veterinary Services Small Animal Hospital, a position she undertook in February 2009. She is studying towards the ECVIM diploma (internal medicine). Christina has two OAP cats enjoying retirement and who run the house.

Alice recently graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2010. During her final year she spent time within the Small Animal Hospitals at both the RVC and at Cornell University in the USA. Although her clinical interests currently lie in Surgery, she has developed a research interest into Canine Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and was awarded the Frank Townend Barton memorial prize for her elective work at graduation. Outside of clinics she can often be found on the golf course or out skiing in Switzerland.

Kate Murphy graduated from the University of Bristol in 1996 returning to the University of Bristol for a residency in Small Animal Medicine in 1997. She worked in private practice for 2 years and then returned to the University of Bristol in 2002, where she is currently Senior Clinical Fellow in Small Animal Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care and Medicine Team Leader. She gained the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 1999, the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Medicine in 2003 and the ECVIM Small Animal Medicine diploma in 2003. Kate is a European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine and has interests in all aspects of medicine but particularly enjoys emergency medical cases. She is co- author of a textbook “notes on canine internal medicine”. Kate has two young daughters who fill most of her free time but when not enjoying their company she likes to thrash a squash ball or read non-weepy novels.

Natalie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2001. She then worked in small animal practice for 2 years before returning to the RVC to undertake a 3 year residency in Veterinary Dermatology. Natalie attained her RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology in 2006. Since completing her residency in 2006 Natalie has been working at The Animal Health Trust, Newmarket and was awarded her European Diploma in Veterinary Dermatology in 2009. She is interested in all types of dermatological cases with emphasis on allergic skin and ear diseases in dogs and cats.

Sergi qualified from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2008. After graduation, he came to the UK to work for half a year in a private referral practice in Manchester. He then went back to Spain in order to get more experience. After spending one and a half years in a busy referral hospital in Barcelona as a first opinion vet, he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Small Animal Clinic at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His main clinical and research interests include canine internal medicine and veterinary ophthalmology.

Séverine graduated from the University of Bristol in 1994 and spent over a year working for the PDSA before moving to the University of Edinburgh to complete a Feline Advisory Bureau Residency in Feline Medicine. She then moved back to the University of Bristol where she completed a PhD investigating feline haemoplasma infection. Séverine is still at Bristol University where she currently contributes to a feline medicine referral service in the Feline Centre and is actively involved in research. She was awarded the BSAVA Woodrow Award in 2008 for outstanding contributions in the field of small animal veterinary medicine. Her main clinical interests are feline infectious diseases and haematological disorders. Séverine has two beautiful cats called Chloe and Boris and in her spare time enjoys going to the gym, cycling, cooking and wine tasting.

Orthopaedic Surgeon
Adrian graduated from the University of Melbourne in Australia. After spending time in general practice in Australia and the UK he decided to pursue specialist surgical training. This commenced with a surgical internship at Northern Sydney Veterinary Specialist Centre.
In 2004 he gained membership to the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (Small Animal Surgery), following successful written and oral examinations. Adrian moved to the UK in 2005 in order to undertake residency training in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Cambridge. In 2009 he attained the ECVS Diploma in Small Animal Surgery.
Adrians surgical training encompassed soft tissue, orthopaedics and neurosurgery. During his residency he developed a strong interest in orthopaedics and this area provided his main research focus. In 2008 he was awarded the Leslie Vaughan Prize by the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association and the Mark Bloomberg Award by the Veterinary Orthopaedic Society for projects conducted during his residency.
Adrian’s clinical interests include fracture repair, angular limb deformities, arthroscopy and feline orthopaedics. He is passionate about surgical training and enjoys providing continuing education/tuition to students, interns, residents and colleagues.

Following this, she spent a brief spell in private referral practice before returning to Bristol University where she is a Clinical Fellow in Small Animal Medicine. She obtained the RCVS and European Diplomas in Small Animal Medicine in 2004. Her main areas of clinical interest include haematological and immune-mediated disorders, and aspects of emergency and critical care medicine. Away from work, Sheena enjoys spending time with her small daughter and 2 accident-prone cats, Pixie and Harry
