Langford Equine Practice provides a full range of veterinary services to horse, pony and donkey owners in the Somerset area.
Our services include:

- Pre-purchase examination
- Lameness evaluation
- Castration (standing or general anaesthetic
- Medical and surgical diagnoses
- Stud medicine including AI with fresh, chilled and frozen semen. Semen collection undertaken
- Export certification
- 24 hour, 365 day emergency care including hospitalisation when required
- Veterinary attendance at equine events and shows
- Talks to equine groups and clubs
- Xrays and ultrasound at your yard or the centre
Langford Equine Practice shares the facilities at the equine centre with the referral hospital.
Facilities available include:
- Digital radiography
- Diagnostic ultrasound
- Dental endoscopy
- Video endoscopy
- Laparoscopy
- Bone scan (scintigraphy)
- Treadmill performance testing
- Full surgical services
- Hospitalisation
- Intensive care for both adults and foals
- In house laboratory facilities
- Lameness evaluation is facilitated by our trot up area, soft and hard lunge rings and large indoor school
Langford Equine Practice participates in providing an up to date education for the veterinary undergraduates at Bristol University's School of Clinical Veterinary Science on whose site the centre is situated.
