The Dermatology service at LVS offers a comprehensive referral service primarily for small animal skin & ear disorders. We are also happy to advise and examine other species with dermatological problems. As a team we enjoy all aspects of veterinary dermatology ranging from patients with allergic skin disease to the more unusual immune mediated diseases. We aim to treat every client and case as an individual and want to work closely with referring veterinary surgeons.
OUR GOALS:
- To offer an efficient, friendly referral service for clients and referring vets
- To promptly update the referral vet on their cases after they have been examined
- To offer an easily accessible advice service for referral vets
- To work as a team with the referring practice to manage long term or difficult cases
About the Dermatology Service
The service operates mainly as an outpatient service and comprises 2 dermatologists and a dedicated dermatology nurse:
We offer appointments Monday to Friday between 9 and 5pm and appointments are available at short notice if required

- Allergen Specific Immunotherapy - individualised formulations for our patients
- Laboratory services on site including histopathology, allowing quick turnaround of results and the ability to speak directly to the laboratories about difficult cases
- We work closely with our colleagues in anaesthesia, internal medicine and surgery to offer a first class referral service for our patients
