The ethos of the practice is monitoring performance to identify and tackle problems as early as possible. However, we also realise that any production unit is only as good as its components and so we recognise the need for individual animal care on all our farms and smallholdings. Our full health and production monitoring and management service includes:
- Quarterly performance review meetings and reports
- Bureau data recording service using InterHerd database software
- Fertility visits using ultrasound scanners
- Whole herd locomotion and condition scoring
- Nutritional advice including ration assessment
- Subsidised lab testing
- Mastitis advisory service, including use of individual cow cell count data from NMR, CIS or QMMS
- Advice on youngstock rearing and disease prevention
- Regular benchmarking meetings and reports along with farmer discussion group meetings
- Full 24-hour emergency service

Smallholders and pet farm animals
Service packages for dairy clients, available on a per cow per year basis
- Fertility Package – Including fortnightly routine fertility visits, a monthly buffer time allowance for non-fertility work, no out of hours call out charge, herd health planning and regular performance analysis and review.
- Plus Lameness Package – Including lame cow treatments, quarterly mobility scoring and analysis and a lameness consultancy and advice service.
- Plus Clinical Mastitis and Cell Counting Package – Including mastitis consultancy and advice, implementation and maintenance of the DairyCo Mastitis Control Plan, bacteriology and the optional somatic cell counting service in conjunction with QMMS.
- Plus Nutrition Package – Including nutritional consultancy and advice, ration assessment, metabolic profiling and body condition scoring and analysis.
