Our facilities

We are well equipped to investigate and manage both routine and less common cardiorespiratory cases including critical care patients.

Current Clinical Studies

  • We are investigating the use of helium/oxygen mixtures during bronchoscopy, as it is thought that this is likely to reduce the temporary hypoxia which can occur during this procedure.
  • We are investigating the prevalence and characteristics of bacterial pneumonia within different respiratory diseases in the dog.
  • We are investigating the prevalence of the cardiac myosin-binding protein C (MyBPC3) genetic mutation (which causes hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in Maine Coons)within the UK population.
