Canine Internal Medicine Service
- The Canine Medicine Service is within the Small Animal Referral Hospital, providing a dedicated canine internal medicine service for both chronic and acute cases, in addition to providing canine medicine expertise to other disciplines within the hospital
- The Canine Medicine Service is also responsible for the care and management of cases in the Intensive Care Unit, under the leadership of Kate Murphy.
- The Canine Medicine Service works closely with the diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology, surgery, anaesthesia, analgesia and behaviour services to provide a complete multidisciplinary specialist approach for all canine patients.
- We have highly skilled, experienced nurses, who ensure that every patient receives the best possible standard of care during thei stay in the hospital.
Special Medical Interests Include:
- Investigation and treatment of immune mediated disease
- Gastroenterology
- Hepatology
- Investigation of pyrexia of unknown origin
