Animal Care Support Team
Our team of Animal Nursing Assistants and Animal Care Assistants provide invaluable expert support to the qualified nurses within the clinics. They are managed by Alison Sweeting RVN A1 who is the Senior Kennel nurse. Alison has worked in the Veterinary field for many years, including assisting with various veterinary field projects, and she also completed her Nursing training at Langford. All of the team take an active role in looking after your pet whilst they are hospitalised with us, they will exercise and groom your pet when required, give lots of TLC and do their utmost to ensure they have the most pleasurable stay as possible. Your pet will be provided with the very best in nutritional support to enable a speedy recovery and also the correct amount of stimulation.
Alison is supported by our 2 senior Animal Nursing Assistants Tina and Teresa, Tina has had a varied career with animals (including Farm, Equine and Small Animals) and now supports the care of our feline and canine patients within the Hospital. Teresa has had experience working as a volunteer in rescue centres and is now undertaking her Veterinary Nurse training. Our Animal Care Assistants are Laura who has experience in working in rescue centres for horses and canines and also volunteers for a local canine re-homing charity. Lisa, who has a special interest in birds (domestic and wild) another Lisa who has two dogs of her own which keep her on her toes and Helen who has been looking after our theatres for the past couple of years and is now joining the team to help the nurses care for our patients. Helen has had a variety of experience in looking after animals and has several dogs and horses of her own. They all enjoy caring for your pet and supporting the running of our clinical services.
