These events are advertised through the practice newsletter, on this site and on the University of Bristol web pages http://www.bris.ac.uk/. These events are usually free of charge and raise funds for animal related charities such as the Cats Protection and the Cinnamon Trust.

Over 30 'exotic enthusiasts' attended our free client talk on Tuesday 28th February 2012, to hear Veterinary Surgeon, Colin Blakey discuss preventative healthcare and basic husbandry for many different exotic species including Tortoises, Parrots and reptiles. Colin had assistance on the evening from friend and associate Greg Glendell an Avian Behaviourist who was on hand to answer questions relating to avian behaviour.

Pet Travel Home and Abroad

We would like to thank Joy Howell a Veterinary Nurse employed by Bayer Animal Health, for giving up her free time to come and talk to over 20 pet owners on keeping their pets safe when travelling abroad. The evening seminar took place on Wednesday 16th November and we are hoping to make it an annual event.

A Cat's Christmas Carol

On Tuesday 13th December, over 80 cat owners braved the awful weather conditions to attend our evening seminar on Feline Behaviour. Alison Blaxter received excellent feedback on her presentation and we hope that everyone enjoyed the Mulled Wine and Mince Pies! A big thank you for the generous donations, as we raised in excess of £100 for the Langford Trust.
